Most if not all video cards that say they have S-Video do not have the four pin connector that is S-video. It is a connection I had to look up on Wikipeidia which is known as a VIVO which can have two different kinds of nine pin connections. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_In_Video_Out
Now I realize that the real issue or how my issue may be solved is that I got my video card in trade with out the splitter (adapter) cord that came with it. I did not realize this at first and so I had to do some research on types of video connections.
I have three questions but only two can be expected to be answered here. The first is: Why do video card makers not have real S-video connections? I just have to ask even if it is to the wrong group. And for this forum: Why not use the VIVO connection for your products knowing that is what video cards take natively? Also does not the unnecessary connection from S-video to VIVO or the other way around add more possibility for interference?
If some one here can tell me why any of this is technically necessary I would be grateful. But something tells me the answer is that most people have the cord to make these things work and that is the way it is despite what ever issues this fact may cause, possible interference included.
