| My shiny new 5500 card is recognized by both stock Ubuntu 9.04 and Fedora 10, no errors in dmesg. Also, dtvsignal and dtvsnr seem to work, their output is consistent with what my HDTV tuner says. But... when I try to use getatsc to record clear QAM channels, I always get an empty, zero-byte file. I've tried every command-line combination possible. Does anyone know a solution to this? Please note that I do not want to use MythTV. I simply want to be able to use command-line tools to record the mpeg transport stream to a file and/or pipe the clear QAM to mplayer and/or VLC. |
