*Note: We highly recommend using DVB as most of the media support in Linux is moving to this framework. Also, most distributions now include support for this by default.

- HD-5500 driver (Required only for the HD-5500 card)
  - Driver - (5/22/06)
  - Fedora Core 5 or Mandriva - only 2.6.17 Kernels Driver - (8/31/06)
- Firmware files for DVB (Required for DVB support only on the HD-2000 & HD-3000 cards)
  - Firmware - Place contents in /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/. This firmware supports ATSC and QAM on the HD-3000 and ATSC on the HD-2000. This also should be the only thing you need to install to get either model of card working.
- Latest tools (Optional and usually can be found on your distribution or its extras CD's)
  - dvb-atsc-tools-1.0.7(06/14/07) - For ATSC and QAM with dvb kernel drivers. Fixes dtvscan channels.conf format to work with the latest versions of xine. Use -fx for xine, -fm for mplayer and -fl for early versions of xine. Very useful for testing cards. Tools include: signal monitoring, manual recording of a channel, scanning for all availble HDTV channels, and tools for debugging ATSC and QAM streams.
  - dvb-atsc-tools-1.0.6(06/14/07) - For ATSC and QAM with dvb kernel drivers. Fixes dtvscan cable freq table.
  - dvb-atsc-tools-1.0.5(05/03/07) - Fixes dtvscan sync failure.
  - dvb-atsc-tools-1.0.4 (09/07/06) - For ATSC and QAM with dvb kernel drivers.
  - dvb-atsc-tools-ker2.6.18 (09/25/06) - For 2.6.18 kernels. (2.6.18 driver does not have full signal strenght support these tools report snr readings for the 2.6.18 and 2.6.19 drivers. Note 2.6.20 drivers have full signal strength support).
  - dvb-atsc-tools-1.0.3 (05/22/06) - For ATSC and QAM with dvb kernel drivers. Use the latest version for HD-5500 cards.
